Book an appointment onlineIf you apply for a residential mortgage online you won't receive advice from us. You'll need to make your own choice about which mortgage is suitable for you. This means we won't assess the suitability of the mortgage to your needs and circumstances.
If you’d prefer to get some advice, you can make an appointment to speak to one of our qualified mortgage advisers. They’ll advise you on which mortgage is suitable for you based on your needs and circumstances.
Apply online without advice
To apply online, read through the following check list. If you meet all the points on the list, you can click 'I agree, apply online' to continue to the next step.
What you’ll need:
- Your salary and employment details
- Any existing mortgage details
- Details of your current financial commitments
You can only apply online if:
- You’re remortgaging your main residence which is also your main correspondence address
- This is/will be your only mortgage
- You’re applying for a standard residential mortgage (e.g. not purchased through an affordable housing scheme)
- You’re not currently retired or planning to retire during the term of the new mortgage
- You want to apply for a repayment mortgage with capital and interest payments
- There’s no active County Court Judgment on your credit file
- You can only declare one job
- You need to have been with your current employer for at least 6 consecutive months
- You’re not self-employed or on a fixed term or temporary contract
- You’re happy for us to assign you a conveyancer, as you won’t be able to choose your own. We’ll cover the basic legal costs of a standard remortgage and instruct a conveyancer on your behalf. You'll need to pay for any additional legal work that may be needed
- You’re happy with a free, basic mortgage valuation, as you won’t be able to upgrade

What to expect when applying online
Step 1
Find your next mortgage
Look through our mortgage options to find out what your monthly payment could be. While you do that, we'll collect some basic details about your current mortgage, your home, and how much you'd like to borrow.
Step 2
Check what you could borrow
We use your information to create your Decision in Principle, which includes how much we can lend you and over what time period. Don't worry, the checks we do won't affect your credit score.
Step 3
Apply for your remortgage
You're now ready to complete the last few steps to finalise your remortgage application.
To apply online, you must confirm that you’re happy to continue without advice and that you’ve read and agree with Our Mortgage Services and Costs PDF and Important Mortgage Information.
